Residents have noticed this improvement, and it’s a move in the right direction. But we can go further. Transparency shouldn’t depend on how closely someone follows county agendas or staff reports, it should be easy for every resident to understand what’s being proposed, why it matters, and how it affects their community.

To build on the progress already made, I will advocate for:

• Plain‑language summaries of development proposals and zoning changes

• Centralized access to documents, maps, and staff reports

• Visual explanations of traffic, environmental, and neighborhood impacts

We can build on the county’s progress by creating a more modern, intuitive communication system that makes government easier to follow and easier to trust.
